The Poquoson Exchange supports a Student of the Month program at Poquoson High School. Senior students are nominated by teachers and staff of the High School and each month one student is chosen to receive the award. The chosen student receives a plaque that is displayed at the school, an reserved parking spot in front of the school, a party at Anna's Pizza for themselves and 5 friends, and most importantly, they are placed in the running for a special Scholarship giving them a one in nine chance of receiving a $1000 scholarship at the end of the year. The Poquoson Exchange generally awards two or three $1000 scholarships each year(depending on club budget). |
